On December 21, 2012 at approximately 1000 hrs Sheriff’s patrol units were called to investigate suspicious activity in the hotel portion of the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore. Deputies were informed of a strong odor of what hotel security suspected was marijuana. Upon further investigation, deputies located three separate rooms within the hotel, with multiple subjects who were in possession of a large amount of concentrated marijuana commonly known as “Hash Oil”.

Due to the large amount of concentrated marijuana located by Deputies, the Kings County Narcotic Task Force was called out to assist with the investigation. Further investigation revealed that the three rooms were being used to process and package for sale, a large amount of concentrated marijuana. The task force seized several thousand containers of processed concentrated marijuana which carries an approximate street value of $250,000.00. Also located in the room was several pounds of concentrated marijuana which had not been packaged for sale. The approximate street value of this unpackaged controlled substance was approximately $100,000.00 for a total combined street value of approx. $350,000.00.

Also located in the parking lot of the casino was a rented moving van which was found to have illegal narcotic lab making supplies and components specific to the manufacturing of concentrated marijuana (Hash Oil).

Further investigation led to the area of the City of Exeter in Tulare County where a search warrant was served in conjunction with the investigation. Several thousand dollars and additional concentrated marijuana along with packaging materials was located similar to that at the Tachi Palace Casino. As a result of the search warrant, the resident Dale Ball was arrested and transported to the Kings County Jail for various felony narcotic charges.
