24th ANNUAL FRESNO COUNTY BLOSSOM TRAIL BEGINS

As the days begin to warm and the fog clears, the orchards of Fresno County are preparing to welcome their springtime blooms.  Trail aficionados from near and far await the start of the Fresno County Blossom Trail with anticipation building that the blooms are merely a few weeks away.

This self guided tour through eastern Fresno County celebrates the beauty of the region’s agricultural heritage.  Traditionally at its peak from late February through late March (weather permitting) the Trail features a panorama of blossoming stone fruit orchards and citrus groves alive with fragrance and bursting with color (orange blossom portion will bloom into April).  Colorful orchards are set against the picturesque backdrop of the snow capped Sierra Nevada Mountains giving travelers the opportunity to enjoy the visual and aromatic experience of Fresno County's rich agricultural bounty!

This non-profit Fresno County Blossom Trail is a collaborative effort with Fresno County joining with the trail’s partner cities (Sanger, Kingsburg, Orange Cove, Reedley, Fowler, and Selma) in eastern Fresno County to welcome springtime visitors to the region

To help travelers plan the best time to view the trail, the Blossom Trail webpage has an “Update” feature that will provide eyewitness reports of when blooms are first spotted on the Trail.

These updates are also communicated to followers via twitter “@goblossomtrail”.  The Trail website also contains the popular Photo Gallery feature, where trail visitors can submit their digital pictures providing a first person visual account.

The Blossom Trail is only part of the celebration, visitors can also enjoy the Blossom Days Festival in Sanger on March 3rd , Cruisin’ the Trail leaving from Fowler on March 10th and the Orange Cove Blossom Festival on April 14th.  Additionally, visitors wishing to more actively appreciate the beauty of the trail can take part in either the Kings River Blossom Bike Ride in Reedley or the Blossom Trail 10k Run in Sanger both on March 3rd .  Come out and enjoy the 24th season of the Fresno County Blossom Trail – take in the agricultural beauty in Fresno County!
