Help Valley Children's and Warnors August 20th

The Goonies will be shown as part of the Warnors Classic Film Series, with ½ of the ticket proceeds benefitting Valley Children’s Hospital.  Warnors will also be hosting a silent auction to raise the remaining funds needed for a new popcorn machine; there will be a "Truffle Shuffle" completion during intermission, and special celebrity Meet and Greet after the film!

Thanks to our patrons and volunteers, your experience at this program is sure to be nothing short of amazing! Doors open at 6:00pm with a pipe organ concert at 6:30pm. The film starts at exactly 7:00pm. Tickets are $5 each for general admission. Children 12 & under, and anyone dressed as a NERD gets in for FREE!

Pole Vaulting Championships Back In Clovis

This year’s North American Pole Vaulting Association Championships are Friday, July 24th from 5:30pm to 10pm during the Friday Night Farmers Market in Old Town Clovis. This event stars several incredibly talented athletes from different teams around the United States, including: Team Hanford, Team Reno, Team Sacramento, Team Provo/Utah and Team Los Angeles. These Elite Athletes join with local college and high school students to complete each team.

Beginning Friday, July 31st, and continuing through Monday, August 3rd, Mary Immaculate Queen (MIQ) School in Lemoore will be hosting a Pre‐Owned Car and Truck Sale Event sponsored by Keller Motors and Keller Ford Lincoln of Hanford.

This fundraiser is designed to assist in creating enrichment opportunities, technological advancement, and to lower overall student tuition for deserving children from the surrounding communities.

Mary Immaculate Queen School, under the leadership of Fr. Hector Lopez and the Carmelite Sisters, is committed to provide an instructional environment which will encourage our students to develop spiritually, aesthetically, intellectually, sociologically, and physiologically to fill their full potential. The school focuses on the formation of true Christian values while recognizing the freedom and dignity of the child as a person.

First Annual Kids’ Safety Day at Millerton Lake

California State Parks at Millerton Lake State Recreation Area will celebrate the 1st Annual Kids’ Safety Day Saturday, July 18, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

This event is intended to encourage water safety for children while recreating at parks, rivers, and lakes in the Central Valley by wearing a lifejacket and swimming safe.

 

Children ages twelve years old and younger are invited to attend with their parents at the Grange Grove Picnic Grounds on the South Shore area of the park. The community will have an opportunity to learn from and talk with representatives from public safety agencies and organizations from throughout the San Joaquin Valley about being safe in the water and what to do in case of an emergency.

Clovis American Legion Cecil Cox Post 147 and Clovis Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 3225 will conduct a Memorial Service honoring all fallen soldiers and those we’ve known who have passed on before us.
