Protecting Pets In These Freezing Temperatures

We are experiencing freezing temperatures this week in the Central Valley region.  The Central California Animal Disaster Team offers these important tips to keep your pets healthy, safe and well during the winter weather and if you travel in areas where there is snow.

§                     Keep your pets inside - when possible when freezing weather occurs. If you have to take them out, stay outside with them. If it is too cold for you, it is too cold for them.

Coats for Kids

Clovis Police Corporal Dustin Dodd is no stranger to winter coat collections for children in the City of Clovis. He and his colleagues have spearheaded coat drives for youngsters in Title 1 schools over the last few years. The smiles on the kids’ faces show their appreciation.

This year, Corporal Dodd decided to expand the coat program to cover ALL children in Clovis who need winter coats and jackets. Community partners include City of Clovis employees, Target Corporation, Walmart, Kohl’s, CVS Pharmacy, Mountain View Community Church, New Harvest Church and Sonrise Church
